I give gifts as a thank you gesture to people who give me referrals. - Give more. For someone to trust you, the person needs to experience how helpful you are. Here's a quick example: go to my FREE online service where people are getting coaching, support, free networking at the "Free Yourself for Success On-line Community." - Ask for more. What do you do the best? What is your natural brilliance? Emphasize it. Consider asking your supervisor, "What is most important for me to do here, so I can earn a raise?" Also, it may be possible to talk with a client and say, "I really like working with you. And, I'm interested in 'earning a raise.' What is most important to you, for me to do here, so we can feel good about my raise?" Every successful person has a story about when they took the leap to ask for more.
